Gene C. Belk, a Sumter native, received his undergraduate degree from Charleston Southern University in 1973. After completing his Bachelor’s of Science, he attended the University of South Carolina School of Law, graduating in 1977 and was admitted to the South Carolina Bar. Gene began practicing law in Sumter, SC, working as an associate and partner in several firms. He worked in many disciplines of law before forming his own firm, with a concentration on workers’ compensation and personal injury claims.
